Universities, language schools, student residences and Erasmus programmes sometimes ask for a medical certificate. It may confirm general good health, fitness to take part in classes, sport or trips, or that no infectious disease was found at the check.

Dr. Pedro Yelamo Vera, a GP licensed in Spain (No. 484814280), can assess this by video and fill in the school's own form when the assessment supports it. He can write in English or Spanish.

Some forms ask for things a video call cannot check, such as a TB test, a chest X-ray, blood tests or a hands-on exam. If yours does, he tells you what to arrange first.

Who it is for

  • University and Erasmus students who need a health form for their host university
  • Students moving into a residence or a host family that asks for a certificate
  • Language school and summer course students
  • Children at school in Spain: a parent or legal guardian books, gives consent and is present during the call

What the doctor checks on video

  • Your health history and any ongoing conditions or treatment
  • Current symptoms and any recent infectious illness
  • The vaccination records you show, as written in those documents
  • Whether you can take part in the activities on the form, such as sport or trips
  • Each line of the form, and which ones can be answered after a video assessment

What to have ready for the call

  • Your passport, DNI or NIE (and the child's, if the certificate is for a child)
  • The school's or university's form, or its written instructions
  • Your vaccination record, if the form asks about vaccines
  • Previous reports and a list of the medicines you take

When it cannot be issued online

  • The form asks for a TB test, a chest X-ray, blood tests or a hands-on exam
  • The form asks for vaccines to be given or checked by a blood test
  • A long exemption from school sport that needs a specialist report
  • Medical certificates for a driving licence or a firearms licence. In Spain only authorised driver and firearms assessment centres (Centros de Reconocimiento de Conductores, CRC) can issue them.
  • Sick leave from work (baja médica, incapacidad temporal). It belongs to the public system: your public health service doctor issues it, or the mutua after a work accident. A private doctor cannot issue it.
  • Anything that needs a physical exam, tests or a visit to an in-person centre. The doctor tells you where to go instead.

Price

  • €50 for a 15-minute video consultation (Urgent Care). If a certificate is issued, it is part of that consultation, with no extra charge.
  • You pay online when you book. An itemised invoice is included.
  • The fee is for the medical consultation. A certificate is issued only if the assessment supports it.

How you receive it

  • If the assessment supports it, the signed certificate is sent to you by email after the consultation.
  • It states what was assessed and on what date. It can be in English or Spanish.
  • Whether it is accepted depends on the institution that asks for it. Check its rules before you book.

Cancellation and refunds

  • Free cancellation up to 24 hours before your appointment, with a refund.
  • If you cancel later, or do not attend, the fee is kept.
  • You must be physically in Spain at the start of the call. If you are not, the consultation does not go ahead and you get a full refund.

Frequently asked questions

Can you fill in my Erasmus or university health form?

Yes, when the assessment supports each statement on it. Lines that need tests or a hands-on exam are left for the right in-person service. Send or show the form at the start of the call.

Can the certificate be in English?

Yes. It can be written in English or Spanish. If your university needs a sworn translation, that is a separate step done by a sworn translator.

Can you certify my vaccinations?

The doctor can record the vaccines shown in your vaccination documents. He does not give vaccines or check immunity by video. If the form needs either, he tells you where to go.

Can my child get a school certificate by video?

Yes, when the assessment supports it. A parent or legal guardian books the appointment, gives consent and stays with the child for the whole call.

Will the university accept it?

Each institution sets its own rules. Many accept a certificate from a doctor licensed in Spain, but check its instructions before you book.

This service is for urgent, non-emergency care. In a medical emergency call 112 or go to the nearest emergency department.
