Telemedicine Terms of Service

1. Nature of the Service

The Website provides direct-to-patient telemedicine consultations delivered by secure video call. Consultations are performed by a physician licensed and regulated in Spain and are intended for non-emergency medical care.

Telemedicine has inherent limitations. A remote consultation cannot fully replace an in-person physical examination, and in some cases the physician may recommend an in-person visit, additional tests, or referral to another provider.

2. Not for Emergencies

This service is not designed for medical emergencies. If you are experiencing a medical emergency — including but not limited to chest pain, difficulty breathing, severe bleeding, loss of consciousness, or thoughts of self-harm — do not use this Website. Call 112 (the European emergency number) or go to your nearest emergency department immediately.

3. No Guarantee of Prescription or Outcome

Booking and paying for a consultation secures a professional medical evaluation only. It does not guarantee that a prescription, medical certificate, referral, or any specific document or outcome will be issued.

Any prescription or medical document is issued solely at the physician’s professional discretion and only when it is clinically appropriate following a comprehensive medical evaluation, in accordance with applicable Spanish and EU regulations.

4. No Sale of Medications

This Website does not sell, supply, or dispense medications, and is not an online pharmacy. Where a prescription is clinically appropriate, medications are obtained separately and paid for at a pharmacy or provider of your choice.

5. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age to book a consultation for yourself. Consultations concerning minors must be booked and attended by a parent or legal guardian who provides the relevant consent.

You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information about your identity, medical history, symptoms, and medications. Withholding or misrepresenting information may affect the physician’s ability to provide safe and appropriate care.

6. Fees and Payment

The fee for each consultation is displayed transparently on the Website before you book. The fee covers the professional medical consultation only and does not include the cost of any medications, laboratory tests, imaging, or treatments.

Fees are payable in euros (EUR). Applicable taxes, where relevant, are included as indicated at the time of booking.

7. Cancellations and Rescheduling

If you are unable to attend your scheduled consultation, please cancel or reschedule as far in advance as possible using the confirmation you received when booking. Missed appointments without prior notice may not be eligible for a refund.

8. Informed Consent for Telehealth

Before your consultation you will be asked to confirm your informed consent to receive care via telemedicine. By providing this consent you acknowledge the nature, benefits, and limitations of remote care described in these Terms, and you consent to the processing of your health data as described in our Privacy Policy.

9. Patient Responsibilities

• Provide truthful and complete health information.
• Ensure you have a private setting and a stable internet connection for the video consultation.
• Follow the agreed care plan and seek in-person or emergency care when advised or when your condition worsens.
• Keep your login, confirmation links, and any documents you receive confidential.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the physician shall not be liable for any harm resulting from inaccurate or incomplete information provided by the patient, from the patient’s failure to follow medical advice, or from technical failures outside the physician’s reasonable control. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Spain and applicable European Union regulations. Any dispute shall be subject to the competent courts of Bilbao, Spain, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protection rights you may have.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The version in force is the one published on this page, identified by the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
