What every consultation includes
- Your full appointment with the same doctor. The time you book is spent one-to-one with Dr. Yelamo, and any follow-up is with him too.
- An assessment before any decision. Your symptoms, history, medication and allergies are reviewed first. Nothing is prescribed or certified without it.
- A plan you understand. The diagnosis, the options and the next steps are explained in plain English or Spanish, with time for questions.
- Clear warning signs. You are told which symptoms would mean you need in-person or emergency care, and where to go.
- Written documentation. A medical report, an EU e-prescription when clinically indicated, and an itemised invoice with the doctor's licence number and tax ID for your insurer.
- Honest redirection. If video is not the right route for your problem, you are told so and pointed to the right service.
What this practice will not do
- Promise a prescription or a certificate before you have been assessed.
- Prescribe antibiotics "just in case".
- Treat emergencies or replace a physical examination. See what an online GP can and cannot treat.
- Claim to be available day and night.
- Issue documents that only in-person centres or the public system can issue, such as driving-licence medicals or statutory sick leave (baja médica).
Who this practice suits, and who it does not
It is a good fit if you:
- want to explain your problem in English or Spanish and fully understand the answer;
- would rather see the same doctor again than repeat your story to someone new;
- need clear paperwork for an insurer, employer, university or airline;
- have a stable long-term condition that needs a review or a repeat prescription;
- want a second look at test results or a report from another doctor.
Another service will suit you better if you:
- need a doctor in the middle of the night: use a 24/7 service or your local emergency department;
- need a hands-on examination, imaging or a test today;
- want care billed directly to an insurer's network: this is a private, pay-per-consultation practice, and you claim back with the invoice if your policy allows it;
- have a complex condition that needs a hospital team.
Fees: what is and is not included
The fee covers the video consultation, the medical report and, when clinically indicated, the digital issue of a prescription or basic medical certificate, plus the itemised invoice. It does not include the cost of medicines at the pharmacy, laboratory tests or services from third parties. The price is shown before you book and there are no subscriptions or membership fees.
Availability, follow-up and cancellations
Appointments run on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays and are booked from the live calendar. Follow-up is short-term and by appointment: if you do not improve as expected, or new results arrive, you book a follow-up consultation with the same doctor, who already knows your case. Appointments can be cancelled up to 24 hours before the scheduled time.
Privacy
Consultations are private and one-to-one. Health information is protected with SSL/TLS encryption, handled in line with the GDPR and never shared without your explicit consent. Your insurer or employer receives only what you choose to send them. Please do not send clinical details over WhatsApp, which is for practical questions only. Full details are in the privacy policy.
Emergencies
This practice provides urgent, non-emergency care. For chest pain, difficulty breathing, signs of stroke, severe bleeding or any life-threatening symptom, call 112 or go to the nearest emergency department.
